Contains the following types of materials: photographs, photo album, post cards. Covers the following wars: World War I (WWI), World War II (WWII). Contains photographs of the following military units: Company D, 4th Pioneer Infantry; 511th Medical Collecting Company. General description of the collection: The William J. Wright, Jr. photograph collection includes some photos of William J. Wright, Sr. and his buddies. There are photos of the war in France which were stock produced as souvenirs. The remainder of the album consists of post cards of towns, cities, sites and art in France, obviously picked up as souvenirs as well by Wright. The five photos of World War II are of William J. Wright, Jr. and a family friend who also served in WWII. Except for the portrait photos of both father and son, there is very little of substantive content unless one is studying the geography and architecture of France.
